It is often believed that art provides a catharsis for our stressful mindset. Art is very much involved in our way of living. In fact, many people believe that art can a way of expressing and communicating when words fail to do so. Thus, one could consider acknowledging the following,
Dance to de-stress
Usually, we’re always in the most disguised manner possible when in our professional region (hiding your inner self). Dancing lets you express your feelings, lightens up your mood, lets you enjoy your most favorite songs. This type of art has become widely spread today, especially with the growing world of social media, the Internet, and the unfortunate recent pandemic; many have begun to consider online courses.
Stay ‘in the Moment’
It is a human tendency to deviate our focus from what we’d be doing at present and rather focus on where we’ve gone wrong or what we could do next to get better. Yoga a form of art enables us to focus on our mind, body and breathing simultaneously, which is often disrupted due to stress.
The Art Therapy
It is often tough to continue ruminating on your problems when you concentrate on creating. It really doesn’t matter whether one is artistically inclined or not. Carl Jung, a psychologist believes how creation of mandalas helped individuals heal emotionally and their thought process. In addition, there is no harm even if one is artistically poor. One eventually builds up an undeveloped skill such as the above, which indirectly benefits both ways.
The Music Therapy
The art of music is closely related to the unconscious emotions often activated through musical movements. The engagement with music aids one’s memory function. Nonetheless, just like how yoga enhances our meditation bit, music helps us practice mindfulness. A state of being fully aware of the present times rather the past or the future. So pick up an instrument of your choice and get started.
Zumba has become extremely well known lately. Moreover with the amount of fun and de stressing zumba makes one feel, you’d probably get addicted to this. Although, time constraint can certainly come in the way to ensure being present at the class with time needed to travel. Luckily, the existence of online classes makes it a relief for many!
In conclusion, the concept of art is immensely subjective. Different minds perceive art uniquely. For instance, for some sport could be an art, for some cooking delicious dishes could be an art and for some gazing at an old tiny roofless building could be an art too. The perception of art is therefore, limitless!
